NAC 10’s evening entertainment will be provided by the complex muticellular organism that is Utrecht-based pop band Deccapods. Featuring Utrecht University’s own Tom Jilbert, best known for the legendary Proxies Domestic Band (PDB) show at NSG 2008, Deccapods offer an original brand of lyrical Anglo-Dutch pop-rock for the discerning (and historically enlightened) listener, but whose irresistibly groovy rhythms ensure the dancefloor never escapes a good workout. Stars of the show include William, Prince of Orange, Henry Hudson, Ol’ Bonaparte and Abraham Darby III, brought to life amid a harmonic cocktail of guitars, multi-layered vocals, electronics and even the odd clarinet. Deccapods’ forthcoming EP Homo Economicus will be on sale on the night. Tracks can be heard online at www.myspace.com/deccapods
